Camp Chef Fires SAP, Ignites B2B and B2C Growth with NetSuite

Camp Chef, as a manufacturer and distributor of Pellet Grills and outdoor cooking systems, sought to strengthen its B2C ecommerce but found its SAP Business One software was not meeting its business needs. Trying to support multi-channel dealer sales and increased direct-to-consumer sales was becoming increasingly difficult with SAP as integrating ecommerce systems required extensive customization. Looking for a better solution and willing to consider cloud solutions, Camp Chef made the decision to go with NetSuite due to the ease of integration with popular ecommerce platforms.

After meeting with NetSuite Solution Provider, 360 Cloud Solutions, and seeing NetSuite’s ease of use and integration, robust customization, and depth of industry experience, Camp Chef’s cloud hesitation evaporated. It went live with NetSuite in January 2016 to manage 1,500 shipments a day across B2B and B2C channels. Customizations can be accomplished in minutes, not days as with SAP.
B2C sales skyrocket
Halfway through 2017, Camp Chef has already exceeded its 2016 B2C sales. With real-time, unified inventory and order data, it can see top-selling SKUs, as well as pinpoint what sales channel those orders are coming through and adjust resources for superior customer service.
Platform launching business forward
Instead of access to BI being limited to two people with SAP experience, NetSuite Saved Searches provide company-wide access to reports, empowering strategic objectives and lending insight to refine business processes. In turn, Camp Chef will implement NetSuite CRM to help manage some 80,000 new customers added to the system each year.
