Eastern European Retailer Cuts Costs by a Third After Adopting Cloud ERP Solution

Z&A Stores, a luxury fashion and homewares retailer with stores across Armenia, Georgia and Hungary, was founded in 2005 after setting up an exclusive franchise agreement to operate the first “Ermenegildo Zegna” store in the region, followed a few years later by a second “Emporio Armani” store opening in the premium luxury sector. In 2010, it opened the first “Burberry” flagship store in Yerevan, Armenia. It currently operates over 20 luxury brand stores in Eastern Europe and sells a wide range of top designer names including Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren and Burberry.

Luxury Retailer Expands Online and Abroad

Efficiencies fuel global growth
Z&A employs around 350 people in its retail division and plans to open new stores in Belarus, Poland and the Czech Republic in the near future. With the launch of an online store this year to sell more products internationally, Z&A has been using NetSuite to help manage the growing business. It has cut costs by 32 percent using cloud-based financial and inventory management software.
Fast, flexible and efficient
The fast-expanding, family-run business was struggling to keep up with evolving international trade requirements and continual advances in technology. Its outdated, in-house built systems were no longer able to cope and the business decided a couple of years ago that the cost of building and maintaining its own systems was too high.
Multiple channels
The retailer uses NetSuite OneWorld to do everything from regular financial reporting to managing over 200,000 items of stock across multiple products and regions. Faster and more accurate information across the business has meant being able to perform everyday tasks much more efficiently.
Group rollout
Z&A, which is part of the larger Imex Group of companies that employs over 1,500 people in the region in construction, packaging and food distribution, says it plans over the next few years to roll-out NetSuite across the group.
