Sticking to Best Practices

Clean data and better visibility: The $10m manufacturer of chemicals, including insulation materials, adhesives, cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, employs around 40 people and wanted easy-to-use technology to assist with staff payrolls, invoicing customers and generally improving profitability. Previously, these administrative tasks were done manually—usually through Excel spreadsheets—which often led to mistakes and the duplication of data, as well as poor visibility.

A profitable cloud ERP solution: XChem didn’t really want to employ a full-time IT person and preferred an outsourced cloud option, which was deemed about five times cheaper than an on-premise solution, not to mention easier and quicker to use.

Bespoke financial reporting: Local partner, Maxcon, helped XChem develop a bespoke, personalized dashboard and use NetSuite’s business intelligence tools to measure KPIs and set up reminders: for instance, to chase unpaid invoices. The software has been adapted for local tax and payroll requirements, such as adhering to new VAT laws and adding bonuses for employees. It even provides manufacturing quality controls for chemical ingredients, including how variances in temperature and humidity can affect products.
