Founded in 2017, One Pacific is headquartered in Hong Kong and has more than 20 employees working across Hong Kong and the Philippines. Loss of control
One Pacific used NetSuite ERP for its finances from day one. However, it formerly managed projects on spreadsheets. As the business grew, teams couldn’t track time and expenses nor customer profitability at a project level, which led to issues such as invoicing delays. With spreadsheets, the team was only able to track a few basic data points, and multiple versions of data caused errors, including incorrect resource allocation, making forecasting pure guesswork.
Client- and project-level insights
One Pacific started using NetSuite OpenAir as its project management solution three years ago. OpenAir uses estimated resource hours combined with billing data to create ‘charge projections,’ or forecasts of revenue per client and project. One Pacific can now monitor projects effectively and hire staff with confidence rather than gut feel. Furthermore, OpenAir’s timesheet capabilities have improved cash flow by reducing invoicing delays, which were often two weeks or more prior to implementation.
Technology powers expansion
OpenAir is seamlessly integrated with One Pacific’s NetSuite ERP environment, allowing for real-time financial reporting. The solution also supports proper resource allocation, as the leadership team can quickly understand who's working on what and when, and which clients are profitable. This has increased project profitability overall. With all the pieces in place, One Pacific is preparing to expand into countries including Taiwan, using NetSuite OneWorld to run new offices and entities.
