Furniture Startup Continues to Grow Through Expansion, New Product Development

MYCS was founded in Berlin in late 2014. Offering individual furniture with short delivery times at affordable prices, the startup is growing rapidly. After three years, they already employ 130 people working on 60 orders per day. The product range is constantly expanding, just like the number of locations. The central warehouse is located in Poland, 3PL providers deliver and assemble the furniture. MYCS wanted to support its processes with an ERP system from day one.

Professional Process Management From the Very Beginning

Easy administration
MYCS implemented NetSuite in early 2015 and its ease of use allowed the company to run it without any inhouse NetSuite developer for 18 months. Administration, up to the configuration of automated workflows, was self-taught without programming knowledge or training. Even a dedicated IT administration has only been available since summer 2017. Hosting in the data center, system management and release updates do not require any intervention by MYCS, and onboarding new employees is extremely easy.
Seamless integration
MYCS developed a configurator for the customization of furniture and for their website on their own and integrated it seamlessly with NetSuite. At checkout on the website, the data is transferred to NetSuite, which controls the company's core processes: lead-to-cash and procure-to-pay. The "assembly app" was developed as a NetSuite Suitelet. It supports the MYCS field service from pick-up in the warehouse to completion of the assembly at the customer site.
Scalability
For MYCS, it was crucial to implement an ERP solution that was scalable at will, to keep pace with the planned company growth. As the company has set itself ambitious goals, the hiring of additional employees is just a matter of time. And when MYCS will start to conquer new markets in the near future, it simply buys additional NetSuite users—and can then fully focus on building a sales and logistics infrastructure for the new target market.
