“We implemented NetSuite in March 2020, and three weeks later, we had to work from our homes. NetSuite’s cloud-based system saved our life because it allowed us to work remotely.” Michelle de Winter, Founder/CEO, Masterpack Group

Preparing for the Future

Standing the test of time
Masterpack Group developed from a trading company in the early 1920s to a global player in the PP and PE packaging industry. The company’s focus on extensive R&D, tailor-made packaging solutions and its commitment to environmental sustainability has grown the brand’s global footprint and helped Masterpack ink deals with enterprises like Monsanto and Nestle.
Expansion adds complexity
Masterpack Group expanded into a complex business with subsidiaries, multiple ecommerce platforms, joint ventures in Thailand and China, and production partners in Vietnam and Bangladesh. The company’s outdated ERP system, Unit4, kept information in silos and rendered leadership unable to automate financial reporting across business units. Also, its ecommerce platform was disconnected from order management and billing systems, requiring a lot of manual work to process sales and invoices.
Automated reporting, easier invoicing
Masterpack Group automated its financial reporting by implementing NetSuite’s cloud-based ERP system, increasing accuracy and saving time. It also enhanced its sales and invoice processes with API and EDI connections between NetSuite and its ecommerce websites, eliminating the need to manually enter up to 20 orders a day from a single customer.
All systems go
Masterpack Group aims to further develop its operational processes in preparation for increased ecommerce sales. It also plans to open a warehouse in the coming year and will rely on NetSuite WMS to optimise the new operation.
