BrandStand expanded its territory by acquiring multiple businesses, enlarged its product catalog significantly and grew from three staffers to more than 30 employees and contractors across Australasia. By having a presence in both Auckland and Sydney (Displays 2 Go), BrandStand can now seamlessly serve both New Zealand and Australia clients—that’s a true trans-Tasman capability.
Rigid systems constraining innovation
BrandStand ran its business on a patchwork of siloed and inflexible systems, including MYOB, Sage, Act! and Mailchimp. That led to challenges, like efficiently onboarding team members and servicing a growing list of customers, that were exacerbated when BrandStand tried to incorporate acquired businesses.
Unrivaled flexibility and control
BrandStand implemented NetSuite OneWorld to knock down the siloes that impeded collaboration across departments. With an intuitive interface and single database that consolidates all critical information, OneWorld means the production team can now see what the sales team is working on, and the executive group loves that a cleaner reporting experience makes it easier to drill down into financial information. Core improvements over the previous fragmented system, like being able to edit invoices without having to credit customers and then reinvoice them, have reduced admin time by half.
Set up for growth and innovation
BrandStand’s staff found NetSuite very easy to use and was excited by how customisable it was, so the whole team took to the system almost instantly. Now that everyone is comfortable on the platform, the business is looking for ways to further customise OneWorld to enable advanced reporting, more-integrated marketing activities and automated workflows.
