Finding Consistencies in the Cloud

Good functionality, but no integration
In the past, Acceleris used two separate systems to manage the company: ProFinance ERP and SugarCRM, which came from different manufacturers, each using its own database. Both applications fulfilled their respective purposes but could not map end-to-end business processes or provide a consistent overview of the entire company. Sales, for example, did not have direct access to invoices.
Creating data uniformity in NetSuite
Acceleris chose NetSuite’s cloud solutions to deliver both ERP and CRM, which it found to meet the needs of a service provider very well. Swiss NetSuite partner Inplenion implemented the new system in four months. In addition to active customers from the past three years, all existing CRM data on contacts and opportunities were transferred over from the previous systems and consolidated into a uniform information base in NetSuite.
Fast processing, reliable information, better overview
Acceleris now tracks the complete sales process—from lead and initial contact, to service employees’ time records and billing—in a single tool. Work is more productive because everyone sees the same information, and data is captured only once. There is less mail traffic between front- and back-offices, as well. Users received two days of training on the NetSuite system and are now educating themselves individually with NetSuite’s online tutorials.
Optimising for the future
The clearer overview of its sales process has allowed Acceleris to introduce a new management model in which the budget is planned “bottom-up” as a function of actual demand, as assessed by sales. Inplenion customised the company’s instance of NetSuite for this purpose so that the system will support the new model. In the near-term future, Acceleris plans to continue to optimise its internal processes, as well as reporting for all stakeholders, through NetSuite.
