Job Description:
NetSuite revolutionizes the development community's ability to take advantage of Software as a Service through the NetSuite Business Operating System (NS-BOS). NS-BOS provides an application development environment for the creation of applications on top of the NetSuite platform, from servlets that add small features, to entire applications that address vertical markets.

For our Developer Programs team, we are looking for a seasoned Sr. Solutions Engineer who will contribute to the growth of NetSuite's third party developer community. You should be capable of high performance at all levels of technical engagements with third party developers, from providing an initial overview of the technology, to advising partners on the architecture of the solution within the NetSuite SaaS environment, to assisting developers day-to-day during the development of the applications. You love evangelizing technology and you can design the architecture of an application but you also use your hard-core coder experience to trouble-shoot technical problems. You need to be a creative problem solver capable of harnessing the power of the NetSuite platform for the benefit of partners.

Responsibilities:

• Become the resident expert in NS-BOS and the NetSuite eCommerce module, including code-level understanding of the underlying technology
• Evangelize the NS-BOS platform through articles, blogs, user groups, developer conferences and presentations to potential partners. Establish yourself as a leader and go to person in the developer community
• Provide consulting to new partners on application architecture and design, including the identification of functional overlaps and gaps
• Perform architectural assessments of existing partner solutions
• Develop compelling sample code and development tools for NS-BOS. Over time, develop NS-BOS best practices guides
• Trouble-shoot technical problems submitted by partners and provide solutions in a timely manner
• Contribute to the development of advanced API training materials, and deliver training classes online and in person

Requirements:

• BS or Master's in Computer Science
• 4+ years hands-on software engineering
• Experience as a software architect
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
• Solid practical knowledge of SOAP-based Web Services, Java, Java Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans, JavaScript and HTML. Solid knowledge of database concepts and data management (RDBMS) and SQL. Experience in C# and/or Visual Basic desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving expertise
• Outgoing personality, you love to engage on technical issues with others and you are an effective networker
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel (<25%)

• Experience with Software as a Service
• Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Customer Relationship Management industry
