Job Description:
This Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of the team responsible for testing NetSuite's on-demand web-based, ERP/CRM/Net Commerce application. This engineer will be a member of the cross-functional, International team, with a focus on Japanese localization, including translation and functionality specific to the Japanese market. Responsibilities will include: writing test plans for new product features, designing and implementing Java-based automated tests, executing test plans, reporting software bugs, reproducing problems reported by customers, and verifying software bug fixes from development and collaborating with NetSuite’s partners in Japan to ready the product for release.

This person must be an extremely bright, articulate, and accomplished problem solver, capable of troubleshooting complex software application problems. This person must be able to provide both preventative actions to avoid similar future problems, and to make recommendations on corrective actions to resolve existing product and customer problems.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Japanese
• Fluency in English
• Experience testing Japanese software products
• B.S. in Computer Science or comparable business degree
• Experience with software quality and testing methodologies
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently when needed
• Organized and reliable, able to efficiently manage multiple tasks

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with three-tiered applications
• Experience working with accounting software
• 2-4 years Java programming experience
• 1-3 years experience with SQL, preferably 9i/10G Oracle
• Experience testing/developing Internet applications
• HTML and Javascript experience
• Experience working with the Oracle database
• Familiarity with unit test development
